Hello everyone,
Gregor here with your monthly Moai newsletter.
November has been the pivot point from quietly building Moai to showing off a product we're proud of.
This month we put the Moai brand in a new coat, finished the demo, and attended one of the largest tech conferences in Europe. An interesting month to say the least, so let me take you through it.

I’m really proud to show you the new Moai brand. Mac has been hard at work this past month to nail down what Moai means and what the brand identity should be. He's been going back and forth with designers, iterating on the look and feel of the product and branding. This resulted in a new logo and a new look for the website, and we're genuinely happy with where it landed. With the branding set we can now proudly carry Moai out into the world.

While Mac was working on the branding, I traded the home office for a week of holiday in Spain. Running a software business is hard work that, while super rewarding, still takes a toll. It was good to get out for a while, relax, and spend time with the family. Freshly rejuvenated I hopped on a train farther south to Lisbon, to attend the Web Summit 2025 conference in Lisbon, Portugal!

Web Summit is one of the biggest tech conferences in the world, with over 70,000 people in attendance and many inspirational speakers. It was an amazing experience, and it was really good to meet dozens of founders, engineers, and enthusiasts, and talk about Moai.
It was very valuable to speak with so many founders, hear their stories, and learn from them. I noticed that connecting with other founders works as a mirror. It shows you what you're doing, what others are doing differently, and you can learn a lot from that. This led to many reflective conversations on how to run startups and what common pitfalls to prevent. Coming home, I'm met with a whole mountain of leads to follow up on. It's been tempting to build a separate Moai module just for keeping track of them!

Back in the Netherlands, the nose went right back to the grindstone, preparing for the next conference. I’m excited to announce that we’ll be presenting Moai at the Adopt AI conference in Paris, France! It’s the first conference where we’re having a booth to showcase Moai. It’s going to be super interesting to meet people and show them how Moai can solve their data chaos. If you're attending Adopt AI, let’s connect! I’d love to see you there.

Parallel to the branding and conferences, we’ve been making solid progress on the product side. We've got a demo of Moai. The trick with a good demo is that it needs to appeal to the one who is being demoed to. We’ve rolled out one demo use case for front-end engineers debugging an API issue, and it’s going to be interesting to explore more use cases and have those ready to show people.
You can see me give this first demo on the front page of our website, askmoai.com. We’re building, iterating, and tightening the experience constantly as we go. The core is there, but we’re polishing flows, sharpening answers, and making sure Moai actually helps you answer the questions you’ll have in your day-to-day work.
If you're curious about the latest on Moai and would love to see more live updates, the best place to keep up with us is our LinkedIn page. That’s where we’ll be sharing more frequent product updates, sneak peeks, and of course where you can find us. We’re going to be rolling out more LinkedIn activity now that we have the branding right.
That’s all for now. Expect another newsletter next month. And for those of you attending in Paris, see you soon.
Check out the new branding on askmoai.com!
